Getting Your Ohio Driver's License Back

Filing Bankruptcy in Order to Get Ohio Drivers License Back

A suspended Ohio Driver,s License can cause numerous problems with both your work, and personal life. This creates a viscous cycle because if you don't have a license, you may not be able to work. If you cannot work due to not being able to legally drive, you don't have money coming in to pay the expensive reinstatement fees charged by the Ohio BMV to get your license back. Additionally, if you are not able to work, you may not be able to pay other debts.

Reinstatement Fees can be Discharged by Filing Bankruptcy

Avoiding paying high Ohio Drivers License (ODL) reinstatement fees by filing for bankruptcy in Columbus, OhioThe reinstatement fees charged by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles can be quite expensive, especially if you are struggling financially. The GREAT NEWS is that these reinstatement fees can now be discharged in a bankruptcy. Therefore, you don't have to pay the Ohio Driver's License reinstatement fees if you file bankruptcy in Ohio.

If you currently have a suspended license, and can't afford to get it reinstated, Ohio Revised Code 4510.10 allows for you to discharge the high cost of ODL reinstatement fees in your bankruptcy. In addition, since filing bankruptcy will discharge your other unsecured debts, you can get your Ohio Driver's License back and be debt free with a fresh start.

Get Your License Back Right Away

It is also important to note that you do not have to wait for the bankruptcy to be discharged to get your Ohio Driver's License back. As soon as our attorneys file the bankruptcy petition with the Bankruptcy Courts, you can take your bankruptcy petition to the Ohio BMV and get your drivers license reinstated. If you are not able to take the petition to the Ohio BMV in person, you can mail a copy to them. Once they review the Bankruptcy petition, they will be able to issue your reinstated Ohio Driver's License without charging the costly reinstatement fees.

You Can Keep Your Car
